"I really enjoyed my time at the villa for a number of different reasons however, if I were to tell you all of them we would be here all day. I loved lounging around in the large pool, walking around the beautiful mountain whilst looking at the picturesque views and most of all the location is amazing, if you stay at the villa you have the heart of Spain right outside your doorstep."

"Villa Encina is a perfect place to escape to at any time of the year. Surrounded by olive groves and wonderful views of the reservoir and mountains you can not only lie in bed and watch the sun rise, but see amazing sunsets over Iznajar a few metres from the villa. And the authentic, rural setting enables magnificent views of the night sky from the terrace with no light pollution. We stayed in February and enjoyed walking from the villa, trips into the Sierra Subbetica and a memorable visit to see the Alhambra Palace, a World Heritage Site. The accommodation is very comfortable, clean and well equipped and we can't wait to visit again."

"A lovely, peaceful, open villa with stunning views, with a lovely outdoor space to watch the world go by. Fantastic location to explore a beautiful, unspoilt area of Spain. The local town and reservoir are only a short drive away and offer lots to discover. A perfect place to relax, recharge and lift the spirits."

"Villa Encina is a very welcoming Spanish property just outside the town of Iznajar. The town itself is a very pretty small Spanish settlement located on the edge of the river and reservoir. Its central position enables visitors to explore the numerous towns and cities within the Cordoba, Granada and Malaga regions. The local towns offer plenty of different restaurant options mostly serving authentic Spanish cuisine. With regards to the villa itself, the views are spectacular nestled within the undulating olive covered hills outside the town. The property is very comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The swimming pool is an excellent size - great to cool down in the summer and large enough to have a good swim. A large garden area ensures the privilege of secluded privacy with an excellent patio bbq area next to the pool for relaxing on and spending the evening star gazing. The property is based at the end of a long private drive with approximately 7 or 8 other properties dotted along the route to the villa with a great community spirit should help or advice be required. We will definitely visit again!

We enjoyed a peaceful, relaxing week
in this comfortable, spacious, well maintained villa set deep in the olive groves overlooking the charming small hilltop town of Iznajar with magnificent views of the countryside and mountains beyond. From the garden we wandered amongst the olive trees in search of the local ibex accompanied by the call of a hoopoe from the adjacent hillside, and watched farmers pruning their trees. Plenty of information is provided about where to eat and places to explore further afield if you can tear yourself away from this idyllic rural retreat.

"What a great place to go! Everything about it is amazing, the view, the house, the location and the surrounding people. The local town is also very nice and is fun at night. There are plenty of things to do and it is easy to fill your time whether that's in the villa or out and about. Overall a brilliant experience"
The house is lovely with spacious rooms and really well equipped. Lovely views from the terrace and balcony. We were there early November so it was cooler in the early morning and evening but warm in the sun. I sat out every day and just shed layers as the day warmed up. Lighting a log fire in the evenings was so cosy and relaxing. The little town of Iznajar I liked a lot. We walked up to the church, which nearly killed me but was worth the effort. Almost forgot, great sized pool.
