Fleshy figs

We have three fig trees in the grounds of the house so if you visit in the summer you will have the pleasure of picking beautifully sweet, fleshy figs straight from the tree. Figs are high in antioxidants and are excellent for your digestive health. The whole fig can be eaten, just remove the stem, give them a quick wash and enjoy them whilst still warm from the Andalusian sunshine. They're the perfect compliment for cheese and nuts, particularly walnuts, or use them in salads with toasted almonds. You can caramelise figs to use on top of pizzas or slice them for use in drinks.
